The movie It’s a Wonderful Life has produced some of the finest movie quotes I have ever known…Jimmy Stewart is, as always, an outrageously awesome normal guy and says things that just *fit* into everyday life. I have fond memories of Kyle shouting “Merry Christmas, you beautiful old building and loan!” and, of course, the inevitable “this is a vurry inneresting sichyuwayshen….”
In celebration of this festive time of year (smirk), I have reproduced some of my favorite quotes from one of my favorite movies of all time.
“Pop, you want a shock? I think you’re a great guy.” – George
“This is very interesting situation…a man doesn’t find himself in a situation like this very often…maybe I could sell tickets.” – George
“I’ll tell your mother on you!” – Mary
“Zuzu’s petals!” – George
“why did we have to have all these children?” – George
“What, this old thing?” – Violet
“To my brother – the richest man in town.” – Harry
“So long mother, old building and loan pal…I’m off for a night of passionate necking.” – George
“Why don’t you kiss her instead of talking her to death?” – porch man
“Hey, we must be good!” – George
“You want the moon, Mary? I’ll get a lasso and lasso it down for you.” – George
“You know, if it wasn’t me talking, I’d say you were the prettiest girl in town.” – George
“Well, this rifraff you’re talking about does most of the living and dying around here. Is it too much to ask for them to do it in two decent rooms and a bath?” – George

My favorite Jimmy Stewart movie by far…my top five movie (maybe top three, I’m so bad at picking favorites) at least.

I heart this.
